Work closely with existing Architect Services, Lab Leads, System Administrators, Software Developers, Project and Product Management (PM), Technical Implementation and Support (TIS), Lab Automation Systems teams (LAS), and Content Engineering (CE) staff, on Linux Development. Provide updates in Agile/Kanban Project Management. This is not just an Operations or Maintenance role. The desired senior Linux Senior Developer possesses more advanced knowledge of initial installation, configuration, setup, and advanced troubleshooting skills, which are in addition to the usual operations and maintenance of a post-installation. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and implementation experience. Linux Systems Administration – • Priority-1 Fork: Ubuntu Installation, configuration, and SSH/PuTTY administration, troubleshooting, • Priority-2 Fork: CentOS Installation, configuration, and SSH/PuTTY administration, troubleshooting, • Understanding of the need and different deployment options for VMware Tools and/or Open VM Tools for Linux, • Deploying Linux remotely to VMware ESXi hosts, • Software Development • Creating and supporting, networking-oriented scripting languages. • Programming in Python, Perl, VMware’s PowerCLI, Microsoft’s PowerShell. • Data Center Networking Technologies – Familiarity with: • Unified Computing System (UCS) • VMware vSphere v6.x • Enterprise-class Storage (block vs file) • Work closely with existing Data Center developers, System Administrators, Project Managers, Support and Content Engineering staff • Design, Install, Deploy, Support and assist Learning at Client’s internal Lab Automation Systems team (LAS), Technical Implementation and Support (TIS), Content Engineering lab teams (CE), and Project/Product Management (PM) • Designing, creating, supporting, Ansible IT Automation solutions. • Primarily written in Python v2.x and v3.x. • Designing, creating, supporting, custom Python v2.x and v3.x applications • Writing custom code for IT with RESTful API’s. • Installing, configuring, administering, Ubuntu 14.x, 16.x, 18.x TLS. • Design, develop, test, refine, support, uniquely customized internal software solutions upon request from internal teams. • Perform advanced UCS Data Center Linux-related trouble tickets with and without supervision • Other: Take over and bring to completion advanced escalation support issues with Technical Assistance Center (TAC), VMware Support, Microsoft Support, etc. • Advanced Linux systems administration skills (Ubuntu/CentOS) • Any current and active Linux certification (any vendor, e.g. CompTIA Ubuntu, Red Hat, or similar) or related degree. • Any programming certification or degree. • Computer Science degree (any) Sports card Medi care Wyrażam zgodę na przetwarzanie podanych przeze mnie danych osobowych zawartych w aplikacji dla potrzeb niezbędnych do realizacji procesu rekrutacji zgodnie z Rozporządzeniem Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady (UE) 2016/679 z dnia 27 kwietnia 2016 r. w sprawie ochrony osób fizycznych w związku z przetwarzaniem danych osobowych i w sprawie swobodnego przepływu takich danych oraz uchylenia dyrektywy 95/46/WE (RODO).
